CWP Europe develops wind and renewable energy projects across Southeast Europe, with a record that includes record-breaking wind farms. It sits inside CWP Global, and that was the problem worth solving: a regional business doing distinct work was visible only through its parent's brand.
A separate site for a subsidiary is a harder brief than it sounds. It has to look like it belongs to the group, because the group's credibility is the point, while still standing on its own for partners, regulators and press who care specifically about Europe.

Design
We carried the global branding through and added a fresh perspective on top of it, with subtle animation giving a sector that deals in decade-long infrastructure projects a sense of momentum. The result reads as part of CWP Global without being a copy of it.

Development
The site was built in Webflow with a news system at its centre, because press releases are how an energy developer communicates progress. That system is the part of the build that has needed the most attention since, and it is where the ongoing relationship has done its most useful work.

Three years of support
In June 2025 the news listing started showing the wrong articles because the CMS was sorting on upload date rather than the published date the team sets by hand. The client flagged it as urgent, we got on a call the same evening and worked it through live.
In October 2025 a press release about CWP Europe and the European Commission was not showing its thumbnail when shared. We tested the sharing preview across the listing, the article page and direct shares and confirmed where it was and was not appearing. In September 2025 we walked their team through requesting reindexing in Google Search Console after a title issue on the group site.

None of that is glamorous. All of it is what an in-house web team would do, which is the point of keeping one on call.
What the relationship produced
The group came back for a second build: Fond Compass, its foundation, which went live in July 2025 with a guided DNS cutover. They later asked us about integrating Borica card payments so the foundation could take donations directly.
Then in May 2026 CWP's Nikolay Angelov introduced us to El Kontrol, another company planning a new website. A client making an unprompted introduction is the clearest signal there is that the relationship works.
The Results
| Metric | Result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Own presence, group identity | A site distinct from CWP Global while carrying its branding | The brief for any subsidiary site, and the hard part of it |
| Three years of support | Still handling the news system and technical fixes in 2026 | Launched 2023, with documented work through 2025 and into 2026 |
| Same-day fixes on live issues | News sorting bug worked through on a call the evening it was reported | The CMS was ordering by upload date rather than the client's chosen published date |
| A second site for the group | Fond Compass, the group's foundation, live July 2025 | Delivered with a guided DNS cutover, with card payment integration discussed after |
| An onward referral | CWP introduced us to El Kontrol in May 2026 | Unprompted, to a company planning a new website |
