Duration

13-week migration, retainer since Dec 2025

Stage

Growth-stage SaaS

Company size

51-200 employees
Gymdesk, the gym management platform, moved its marketing site off a custom CMS and onto Webflow with Creative Corner Studio: 491 blog posts into Webflow CMS, a component design system, Japanese localization, and a secure signup flow connecting the marketing site to the product. The site went live 13 weeks after contract. Five days later, Gymdesk asked for retainer options unprompted, and a year on the partnership is still running weekly: event landing pages shipped in under 24 hours, comparison pages, a hero refresh and pricing redesigns by our designers, and the pages for their next product launch.

Gymdesk is a gym management SaaS whose growth runs on SEO and content. Its marketing site lived on a custom CMS that made exactly those things hard: publishing was slow, landing pages depended on developers, and the marketing team could not move at the speed their channels demanded.

A migration also carried real risk. Years of blog content and rankings drove signups, the marketing site handed sessions directly into the product's signup flow, and the domain architecture was shared with the application itself. Moving the environment without breaking trust, traffic, or signups was the whole assignment.

Strategy

We scoped the migration page by page, with a per-element time breakdown the client could inspect line by line. The application moved to app.gymdesk.com so the marketing site could own the root domain cleanly. Design was replicated, not reinvented: the goal was a faster, self-serviceable platform under the same brand.

Development

The build centered on a component design system: hero variants, testimonial collections, sortable FAQ collections, and feature cards the marketing team now assembles without developers. All 491 blog posts migrated into Webflow CMS. Two systems needed real engineering:

  • Signup flow integration. The marketing site passes sessions to app.gymdesk.com through a secure one-time key, designed to avoid CSRF and webhook race conditions.
  • Japanese localization. The full site runs at gymdesk.com/ja on Webflow Localization, proofread by a third-party agency, with browser-language detection that remembers the visitor's choice.

Launch and SEO

Launch was engineered around the client's infrastructure. When a Cloudflare configuration conflict on the client side broke application redirects during the first cutover attempt, we reverted cleanly and relaunched the next day: live December 11, 2025. The post-launch punch list ran for two weeks: sitemap and robots fixes, Search Console verification, and a redirect cleanup that resolved 927 crawler-reported errors. The client's SEO lead in January: "Overall though, we've seen positive impact from the ones that were fixed!" No ranking losses were reported after the migration.

The retainer

Five days after launch, Gymdesk asked for retainer options unprompted. Since then the partnership has run on prepaid hour packages with a weekly call: an event landing page designed, built, and shipped in under 24 hours against a live deadline (time to market measured in hours, not weeks); five comparison pages; a homepage hero refresh and a pricing page redesigned by our designers in two directions for the team to choose from; a webinar ecosystem; and the pages for Gymdesk's October 2026 product launch. When a third-party cookie tool broke blog pagination, we root-caused it through Webflow's Enterprise partner support channel rather than guessing.

The Results

  • 491 blog posts migrated into Webflow CMS with rankings-critical URLs preserved and redirected.
  • 13 weeks contract to launch. Signed September 9, 2025; live December 11, 2025.
  • 1,226 URLs live in 2 languages today (English + Japanese), verified August 2026: the site has kept growing on the new platform.
  • 927 redirect errors resolved in the post-launch cleanup, with the client's SEO lead confirming positive impact.
  • A 12-month retainer and counting, requested by the client 5 days after launch.
  • The reference that won the next deal. Another fitness management SaaS chose us for its own Webflow migration after seeing the Gymdesk project and testimonial.
"They made us feel really safe as we were moving the entire environment over to Webflow... Everything has remained stable and even better than it was before."
Brian, VP of Marketing, Gymdesk (video testimonial, February 2026)
