https://www.smartrbid.com/SmartrBID gives Business Improvement Districts the software to report, route, and manage the issues that keep commercial districts working, and to turn them into insights for BID Executive Directors. Their site ran on Wix with membership functionality, and it neither looked the part against competitors nor gave the team room to grow.
There was also a clock. A major industry event at the end of May meant the new site had to be live, polished, and stable by a fixed date, member portal included. Migrating a live member base is exactly the kind of work that slips; this one could not.

Design
The design followed the brand book developed by the client's brand partner, Kashu, whose explainer video we later embedded on the homepage. The direction was illustration-led: vector scenes instead of product screenshots or stock photography, a comparison page with Harvey Ball ratings against the status quo, and a design system built in Figma with two hero concepts for the client to choose between. Design direction was approved two weeks after kickoff.

Development
The Webflow build covered the full marketing site: How It Works, Features and Benefits, the comparison page, Testimonials, Support and Implementation, About, and a Request a Demo flow. The differentiating piece was the membership portal:
- MemberStack integration with signup, email verification, and manual admin approval, so SmartrBID controls exactly who gets in.
- Custom member dashboards with up to ten dynamic links per member, configured per customer.
- Customer migration from Wix: the existing member list exported and moved to the new system.
- Welcome-email automation through Zoho Flow, triggered on approval.

Launch and SEO
Technical foundations shipped with the build: GTM, schema markup, metadata, 301 redirects, sitemap and robots, OG images, and spam-protected forms, with QA across five resolutions and three browsers. Go-live was set for the week before the client's event and hit: the site went live on May 19, the explainer video was embedded the next day, and the member automation was verified working by the client before month end. Handover included the Webflow transfer to the client's account, hosting guidance, and custom training videos.
The Results
- 10 weeks contract to launch, live on the date set to beat the client's major industry event.
- A working member portal on day one: signup, verification, manual approval, and per-member dashboards, with the existing Wix customer base migrated.
- 13 URLs live on the new domain, verified August 2026.
- Full self-service handover: site transferred to the client's Webflow account with custom training videos.
